Founded in June 1986, Shenzhen Hua Lian Business Administration College (hereinafter as Hua Lian College) was a multi-functional training center established by the State Textile Industry Department and Union Developing Group of China. It offers adult education training courses in finance management, textile printing & dyeing, apparel design, computer and guidance courses for self-taught tests.

Hua Lian College is a subsidiary of Union Developing Group of China which ranks 280 among the Top 1000 enterprise groups in China in the year of 2000. It is also one of the World Top 500 in Textile and 520 key enterprises at state-level in China. With textiles as its major, Union Developing Group of China has diversified its business into other fields like science, industry, commerce, trade, finance, real estate, education training and information consulting service etc.

With an air-conditioned and well-equipped area of more than 1000 square meters in 8/F. of Hua Lian Building, the college can provide over 400 seats for the students at the same time. In the past ten years, Hua Lian College has gained a good reputation by its high-level education quality, its stable group of part-time and full-time teachers and management personnel and its standardized rules and systems. The minister and vice-minister of the State Textile Industry Department, the president of the State Textile Industry Association, the vice-chairman of the Apparel Designers Association of China and the leaders of Provincial Education Department and Shenzhen Education Bureau have paid visits to the college.

Hua Lian College has always been a cultivator in the field of adult education since its foundation. As a base of reeducation and training of the national textile & apparel industry, the college has undertaken the training task of the national textile & apparel industry. It plays a positive role in the domestic textile & apparel enterprises' reform by holding nearly a hundred successful senior management personnel training classes. It has built up good partner relationship with Beijing Apparel Institute, Swiss Language School, the Oxford Commerce College of England, Asia Open University, Macao, and Hong Kong Garment Training Bureau, and training courses in apparel design, judicature, finance, business management, languages and computer training have been offered successfully to the public. The graduates from the college totaled about 10000. It now has occupied a pivotal position among the training schools in Shenzhen.

Hua Lian College has been approved by the public, the leaders of all levels and the trainees through its ten-year-long hard works. In an activity of Honest Enterprises and Best Brands sponsored by Shenzhen Consumer Committee, Shenzhen Economic Daily and Consumer magazine, the college was chosen as No. 1 in total scores by millions of the consumers in Shenzhen.
